Awesome. Sounds like you are getting a pretty good food/work out routine established. I'm getting back into mine (had to get back into the working out; I'm swimming a relay leg in the Memphis in May triathlon with Mike and Ember this Sunday!). This weekend won't be good food-wise, since the family will be in town--I'll probably carb-load pretty heavy since it's a mile swim and I don't want to die. But next week we have half-days at school because of exams, so I can hit the gym all afternoon when there will be fewer people there. That will be nice. Memorial Day weekend we will be kayaking, and I always lose weight when we kayak. No time to eat+heavy calorie expenditure=yay! We've got a week of outservice activities after the holiday, but again, it will be partial days so I can hit the gym. And after that, my summer begins in earnest. Whoo hoo!
Nice. Good luck with the swimming. It wouldn't look good if you, as a swim instructor, former college swimmer, and former water polo player, drowned, so be careful ;p
The food routine is getting established...the work out routine not as much as I'd like. I get two dog walking sessions per day (20-30 min each), and I can usually make it to the gym at least 3 days out of the week. Jodi's teaching schedule (or lack thereof...in between semesters at both schools) means she's home in the evenings more often. That means quality time relaxing. So it goes.
270 is just around the corner.
I actually ate pizza today, I am so pissed at myself. I haven't had this much fat in a long time and it is killing my stomach.
How much pizza? Me and dear and patient gf have a pizza routine. Go to (in this case) Roundtable. Order a small, thin crust with various toppings, and get the salad bar trip. I think the key is the thin crust. I checked on Calorie King, and a large pizza with the toppings we got is right around 2000 cal. A small is therefore roughly 1000. Half of that is only 500. Go light on the salad dressing and you're out the door for only 600 cal. It seems to be enough to satisfy the craving (and back in the day, devouring a large by myself wasn't out of the question), without giving you the bloated fat feeling. And you got pizza! It seems to work for me.
